The state of California lawmakers have passed the CROWN bill (Creating Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair)
This bill will ensure protection against discrimination of Natural hair Afros, braids, dreads and twists in the workplace and schools.
It will now head to gov Gavin Newsom’s office to be signed into law.
As pleased as I am to share this good news, I must admit I find it also absurd that an actual law has been made for one’s natural type of hair…Anyhow yay, California!
